Short puffer winter jacket in a soft and waterproof fabric without taped seams. The jacket is lined with Sorona padding, which is a special lightweight polyester padding designed to keep you as warm as if you were wearing down. The jacket has a detachable hood with adjustable elastic drawcord, pockets with button closure, waterproof front zip and adjustable drawcords at the bottom hem that allow you to adjust the fit as needed and prevent cold air from getting through.
- This winter jacket can withstand a water column pressure of 8,000 mm.
The water column pressure stated for the jacket refers to a measurement of the water-repellent properties of the fabric. It indicates the amount of water in millimetres that can be pressed against the fabric before water starts to penetrate and soak it.
When it comes to waterproof materials, a waterproof membrane or coating is often used. It can be a thin film or layer of material applied to the outer fabric. This membrane is designed to prevent water from penetrating the fabric while allowing moisture and vapour (sweat) from the inside to escape, maintaining comfort for the wearer.
