Meet 6 Everyday Women

Meet 6 Everyday Women

Everyday Women are all of us—ordinary yet extraordinary, strong yet vulnerable, and always unique. We met six incredible women on a sunny spring day in Copenhagen, each with her own story to tell. From Hanne, a retired legal secretary from Roskilde, Denmark, to Andrea, who finds inspiration in the streets of Paris, and Inge-Merete, the self-proclaimed queen of Nørrebro, their experiences remind us that beauty, confidence, and style exist in every shape and stage of life.

Each of these inspiring women has shared their perspective on self-acceptance, courage, and fashion. Read their reflections below and celebrate the beauty of real women with real stories.

Finding Confidence in Your Own Skin

"I've always been a bit bigger. As a child, it was frustrating that I had to wear adult-sized clothing, but now, as an adult, I realize it's the same clothes—just in a different size. Over time, I've learned to be at peace with my body. I aspire to reach a point where I truly don’t care about what others think."

— Maja Thusgaard Poulsen, 21, Denmark

Representation Matters: Being a Role Model

"With this campaign, I wanted to see myself through a different lens—through the perspective of a model. It’s empowering to step in front of the camera, knowing that beauty comes in all shapes. I want my six-year-old niece to see that she can be part of this world too. Representation matters, and it’s important for her to know that she can be anything she dreams of."

— Andrea Bunod, 24, France

Navigating Motherhood and Body Changes

"Becoming a mother at 22 was life-changing. My body transformed rapidly—I gained 40 kg in one year, and after giving birth, my sense of self shifted. It took time to recognize myself again, but oddly enough, I now care more about my style than ever before. Dressing well has become a way to reconnect with myself and embrace this new chapter of life."

— Stina Vea, 28, Norway

Embracing Your Body in a Digital World

"I’ve always been confident, but not necessarily in my own body. That changed when I started looking at myself in the mirror and taking photos. Many people say I’m ‘brave’ for sharing images online, but I believe visibility should be normalized. If fitness models can post bikini pictures without it being called ‘brave,’ why should it be different for me?"

— Jasmin Mairhofer, 36, Austria

Breaking Fashion Norms with Age

"As I’ve grown older, I’ve become bolder. I refuse to let my age dictate what I can or cannot wear. I admire the younger generation’s fearless approach to fashion, and I embrace it myself. In Denmark, many women prefer to blend in, but I enjoy standing out—I see fashion as an expression of who I am."

— Inge-Merete, 55, Denmark

Finding Fulfillment in Everyday Life

"One piece of advice I always give is to invest in relationships—quality over quantity. Friendships evolve, but having meaningful connections makes life richer. As a retiree, I have time to volunteer and take dance classes, and I find joy in engaging with others. It’s not just about doing good; it’s about finding purpose and fulfillment in daily life."

— Hanne Mortensen, 74, Denmark
